Refreshing and invigorating, this delicious iced chaga tea is perfect for hot days or simply when you need an invigorating or healing drink that soothes the body and soul.
Chaga strengthens the liver and adrenal glands and makes it difficult for pathogens such as viruses and bacteria to survive in the body.
Homemade honey helps push the healing properties of chaga deeper into hard-to-reach places, improving the functions of many of the body's systems.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 tsp organic chaga powder ;
- 3 cups hot water;
- 2-3 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice;
- 2-3 tablespoons homemade honey or maple syrup;
- 1 cup ice, for serving;
- 3 strawberries, sliced, for serving;
- 3-4 slices of lemon, for serving.
Method of preparation:
Place the chaga powder in a teapot or jug and pour hot water over it. Set aside until it cools to room temperature. You can strain it if you like or leave it as is. Add the lemon juice and homemade honey or maple syrup and stir.
Divide the ice, strawberries and lemon slices between two serving glasses and fill them with the chilled tea. Serve immediately.
Portion for 2 people.
