Tourette syndrome is a neurological condition characterized by involuntary movements and sounds known as tics. Its manifestations can be very diverse and vary significantly from person to person.
In this article, Anthony William explains what lies behind Tourette syndrome, how, according to the Healing Medium, the transmission of electrical impulses in the brain is disrupted, and why the symptoms can manifest in so many different ways.
What causes Tourette syndrome?
Tourette syndrome is primarily caused by mercury and copper, along with traces of lead, which impede the passage of electrical impulses in the brain. When an electrical impulse passes through a synapse—the place where nerve cells transmit signals to each other—it is like passing through a tunnel. If there are accumulations around this tunnel of toxic heavy metals, they narrow the space through which the electrical impulse must pass and create a kind of obstacle. As a result, the impulse slows down and practically gets stuck. For an extremely short time, just a fraction of a second, another electrical impulse arrives behind it. It collides with the delayed impulse and pushes it forward. You can learn more about toxic heavy metals from the video “[Video] How toxic heavy metals enter us and the problems they can cause”.
What is the difference between Tourette syndrome and OCD?
Anthony William makes an interesting distinction between Tourette syndrome and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). According to his explanation, in OCD, the electrical impulse collides with an accumulation of heavy metals and is pushed back. In Tourette syndrome, however, the copper mixed with lead found around the synapse conducts the electrical impulses forward, even though the accumulations of heavy metals physically impede their passage. Sometimes the two electrical impulses even get blocked together, merge, and pass through the synapse simultaneously. Learn more from the article “Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)”.
Why do involuntary movements, sounds, and words occur?
Electrical impulses in the brain carry information. They carry the messages that a person is trying to express or convey.
Anthony William explains that when these impulses are impeded and subsequently pushed forward, the information they carry also moves forward in an uncontrolled way. Thus, the information seems to outpace the person's conscious control. As a result, an involuntary action, word, movement, or sound may occur that the person cannot control.
According to the Healing Medium, electrical impulses can literally be directed in many different directions and move at a higher than normal speed. This explains why Tourette syndrome has such diverse manifestations and why the symptoms can vary significantly from person to person.
What determines the severity of the symptoms?
Anthony William points to several factors that determine how strongly the symptoms of Tourette syndrome will be expressed.
These include the size of the space between the neurons, the amount of toxic heavy metals accumulated around the synapses and nerve cells, as well as the ratio of mercury, copper, and traces of lead.
In many cases, three electrical impulses collide with each other before the first impulse, along with the other two, is pushed through the narrow space of the synapse. Anthony William compares this process to a traffic jam, where several impulses accumulate in one place before passing forward simultaneously. The combination of all these factors determines how pronounced the symptoms will be in a given person.
Why do the symptoms often repeat in the same way?
Anthony William explains that in most cases, the manifestations of Tourette syndrome are relatively constant and predictable. According to the Healing Medium, this is due to the fact that the accumulations of toxic heavy metals are located in specific areas of the brain where the same obstacles repeatedly arise to the passage of electrical impulses.
When a person tries to overcome the symptoms of Tourette syndrome through concentration and focus, according to Anthony William, they are actually rerouting the nerve signals through other neural pathways, even if they do not realize they are doing so.
The passage of electrical impulses along different pathways in the brain, where there may not be similar obstacles from accumulated heavy metals, can change the way Tourette syndrome manifests. Sometimes these changes can be unpredictable.
