As we’ve discussed, taking supplements is an optional and completely optional step after your cleanse. If you prefer to focus solely on the healing power of food, that’s perfectly acceptable. You don’t have to enter the “World of Supplements” just yet if you don’t feel ready, but stay open to them in the future, especially if you’re struggling with symptoms and health conditions. Each of the cleanses discussed in “Cleanse for Health” is powerful—they cut fat, avoid unhealthy foods, and incorporate healing foods that help with a variety of issues. And if you want an even bigger boost afterward—the supplement protocols are designed to support you.
The Supplement Guide in “Cleanse for Health” is for people who are looking for something more—looking for options because their condition is confusing them. If that’s you, read on—you’ll find a treasure trove of options in the form of specialized supplement lists for specific symptoms and conditions. It’s important to understand that deficiencies in the body are one of the main reasons we get sick. For example, zinc is virtually absent from modern diets, and a deficiency weakens the immune system—that’s why we always need it. (For more information, see the article “Zinc: A Mineral of Primary Importance for Health.” ) At the same time, our bodies are full of toxic heavy metals, and spirulina is vital for clearing them out.
Where do we start?
If you suffer from more than one symptom or condition at the same time, choose the one that most affects your life. For example, if you suffer from chronic fatigue, focus on that and don’t worry about the bloating. Over time, you may find that as you work on one issue, another improves as well – or you can simply move on to a new list of supplements over time.
Once you’ve identified your symptom or condition, you don’t have to take every supplement listed. If you’re sensitive, you can start with one supplement a day. If you’re not, you can combine them as part of a daily regimen. Or, if you’re looking for a balanced approach, pick a few to start with and build up gradually. Celery juice is always a good place to start. From there, if your list includes vitamin B12 , zinc sulfate , vitamin C , and/or lemon balm , add them in. Then, if you’re ready to take the next step and your list includes spirulina , curcumin , cat’s claw , and/or L-lysine , add those in as well. If you’re not seeing the results you want, you can add a few more from the list. You can always start with lower doses if you think you’re sensitive.
Also, any supplement listed in the Healer Medium protocols, even if not specifically listed for your symptoms or condition, may still be helpful – if your gut feeling or your doctor’s recommendation leads you in that direction. All of these supplements support chronic health. See Anthony William’s directory of recommended supplements on his website: https://www.medicalmedium.com/preferred/supplements
You may already be taking other supplements. Be very careful with supplements that are not recommended by Anthony William. Many of them contain ingredients that work against you – as you have already read in the article “Supplements During a Cleanse” , some supplements like fish oil or whey protein actually feed the pathogens that create the symptoms and conditions.
How long?
The duration of taking these supplements depends on many factors – such as how deficient you are (in areas that even blood tests cannot detect), how virally loaded you are (i.e. whether you have hidden, undiagnosed viral infections), how much toxic heavy metals are in your brain and liver, how depleted your organs are of glucose and minerals, the level of “mysterious” inflammation in your body due to undiagnosed, mild viral and bacterial infections, and how weakened your various systems are – all of this happens outside the scope of standard diagnostics. You may say, “The doctor examined me. I have no deficiencies. He didn’t mention anything about heavy metals. Why do I need to take supplements?” The truth is, doctors are not trained and do not have the tools to find all the factors behind chronic diseases. Even if your tests are fine, if your symptoms and conditions are still present – this is a clear sign that supplements are needed to get to the real cause.
Other self-care practices you take—like regularly doing your Morning Cleanse , the 3:6:9 Cleanse , the Heavy Metal Cleanse , and avoiding unhealthy foods and fats on a daily basis—will have a huge impact on your healing process. How long you were sick when you started treatment also matters. Everyone has a different process and pace of recovery. If you’ve been suffering for a long time, supplements can be key to maintaining progress even after your symptoms start to subside. Keep taking them even when you start to feel better—they will continue to support your body.
The secrets of supplements
The supplements in the Healer Medium protocols are listed alphabetically—not in order of importance. The exception is celery juice , which you will see at the top of each list. As you read, keep in mind that the scope of what these supplements do for the body and brain remains undiscovered by science. While some of them have been partially studied, many are still completely unknown as healing agents, and their benefits far exceed what is known.
An important but still unpopular tip is to take your supplements with a piece of fruit, such as a banana, or with a potato, sweet potato, pumpkin, raw honey, pure maple syrup , or coconut water . Natural sugar is what carries vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients into the bloodstream, helping them get to where they’re needed. Without this sugar, your organs won’t absorb these nutrients. This is one of the reasons why low-carb, high-protein, and/or high-fat diets can lead to severe deficiencies in vitamins, minerals, trace elements, antivirals, antibacterials, antioxidants, and healing phytochemicals—because natural sugar is needed to get them into your cells. Taking your supplements with natural sugars ensures that your liver (your processing center) and the rest of your body can actually use them.
